Week 5 Player of the Week: Brodie Stoughton
Senior offensive tackle and defensive lineman Brodie Stoughton delivered an impressive two-way performance during Fort Scott’s 38–35 Homecoming victory over the defending SEK League champion Labette County Grizzlies.
Stoughton helped set the tone for another electric night from the Tigers’ offense. From his starting tackle position, the senior consistently opened running lanes, protected the backfield and served up pancakes against the Labette County defense.
His impact was just as important on the other side of the football. Stoughton recorded seven total tackles from the interior of the defensive line, battling in the trenches and helping Fort Scott control the game until the Grizzlies made a late push in the final minutes.
Offensive linemen do not always receive the recognition they deserve, but Stoughton’s work was impossible to overlook. Whether he was clearing a path for a Tiger ball carrier or bringing down a Grizzly on defense, the senior played a major role in helping Fort Scott earn its fourth consecutive victory.
For his dominant two-way performance in the trenches, Brodie Stoughton is the SEKluded Week 5 Player of the Week!
