Week 3 Player of the Week: Creed Clayton
Junior running back Creed Clayton turned in a punishing performance during Fort Scott’s 38–26 road victory over the Independence Bulldogs, helping the Tigers open SEK League play with an important win.
Clayton carried the ball 23 times for 139 yards and one touchdown. He broke loose for several double-digit gains throughout the night, but none was more impressive than his 43-yard run. Clayton powered through contact and carried a Bulldogs defender for more than 10 yards before finally being forced out of bounds.
During his appearance on Coach’s Corner, Clayton praised his teammates and the leadership surrounding him. He spoke about the Tigers’ commitment to playing for one another and giving everything they have on every snap.
When asked to describe his physical running style, Clayton kept his answer simple:
“Balls to the wall every time!”
With 139 hard-earned rushing yards and a touchdown in a conference-opening victory, Creed Clayton is the SEKluded Week 3 Player of the Week!
