Cole Doherty is the first Hometown Sports Co. Athlete of the Week for the 2026 football season after making two interceptions against Paola.
His second interception came with 27 seconds left in the 1st half and stopped the Panthers in the red zone. Doherty’s play helped the Tigers force four turnovers in the season opener and gave Fort Scott a defensive spark from start to finish.
