Week 4 Player of the Week: Kyler Keating
Sophomore running back and defensive back Kyler Keating made his biggest impact on the defensive side of the football during Fort Scott’s long-awaited victory over the Pittsburg Purple Dragons.
Keating contributed six carries for 26 yards on offense, but his work in the Tigers’ secondary earned him this week’s honor. The sophomore recorded not one, but two interceptions, giving the Fort Scott offense additional opportunities and helping shut down a Pittsburg team that had maintained a stranglehold over Tiger teams of the past.
In a game that carried plenty of history and emotion, Keating repeatedly put himself in the right position and delivered when his team needed a turnover. His two interceptions played a major role in helping the Tigers finally break through against the Dragons and ring the Victory Bell at Frary Field.
With a pair of game-changing takeaways in one of Fort Scott’s biggest wins in recent memory, Kyler Keating is the SEKluded Week 4 Player of the Week!
